Part-Time Flight Coordinator
Job Description
Flight Coordinators work a variety of shifts. Eight hour shifts range from 0600 hrs to 1400 hrs, 1400 hrs to 2200 hrs, and 2200 hrs to 0600 hrs. Twelve hour shifts range from 0600 hrs to 1800 hrs and 1800 hrs to 0600 hrs.
Qualifications
Individuals interested in applying should possess the following minimum qualifications:
o High School Graduate or GED.
o Current certification of Emergency Medical Technician - Basic or higher.
o Two years of emergency dispatch or equivalent experience or knowledge.
o Working knowledge of word processing and/or other basic computer software.
o Capable of working as a member of a team.
o Able to prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks with little or no supervision.
o Provide references/recommendations.

Job Description
Provide care and aeromedical transport to ill and injured patients in the San Antonio AirLIFE service area.
Employees are scheduled for 12-hour
shifts, alternating nights and days biweekly. Patient transports originate from scene response (50%) and interfacility transfer (50%).
Qualifications
Individuals interested in applying should possess the following minimum qualifications:
o Texas certification or licensure as an Emergency Medical Technician- Paramedic
or demonstrate evidence of reciprocity procedure as an EMT-Paramedic.
o Minimum five years experience with a busy EMS service operating at MICU
level. Hospital experience helpful.
o Current certification in ACLS, PHTLS or BTLS, PALS
and CPR required. FP-C
certification is desired and will be required within one year of employment.
Teaching experience preferred.
o Capable of working as a member of a team with little or no supervision.
o Applicants should be in good physical condition, capable of working in confined spaces and lifting/ moving patients and equipment.
o Provide references/ recommendations

o Minimum five years of experience with an ED or ICU background. Prehospital experience helpful.
o Current certification in ACLS, TNCC or
ATLS audit, PALS
or ENPC, and CPR
required. CFRN
certification is desired and will be required within one year of
employment. Teaching experience preferred.
o Capable of working as a member of a team with little or no supervision.
o Applicants should be in good physical condition, capable of working in confined spaces and lifting/ moving patients and equipment.
o Provide references/ recommendations.
