If you are directly
involved in the care of patients either
through the emergency medical services
or within a hospital system, you are
invited to take part in the Ride-Along
Program offered by San Antonio AirLIFE.
We would also like to extend this
program to law enforcement agencies
and those who are directly involved
in setting up helicopter landing zones.
The purpose of the Ride Along
Program is to educate participants about
AirLIFE's mission and also expose you to
the needs of the surrounding rural
hospitals and EMS agencies. They
will have the opportunity to interact
with members of the flight team and FLIGHTCOMM staff as well as go along
on actual patient missions as an observer.
Interested candidates will need to
fill out the on-line registration
application on this page of the web
site.
We will notify the randomly selected
candidates by mail and you will be
required to attend a 2-hour information
and safety briefing before you may
fly along. We will begin selection
process in October and you will be
notified of dates and locations of
the safety class. If you have questions
regarding the ride-along program,
please email
Carmen Novitski - Flight
Nurse.

Please do not call us to register.
We will notify you by mail to attend
2 hour information and safety briefing
and you will set up your ride out
at that time. Please note that during
the summer months we do not offer
the ride out program.
If you are interested in taking pictures
while you are riding along, feel free
to bring a camera. Send us some of
the pictures and we will post them
on our web site.
